“Supported Decision-Making”

February 22 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Event Navigation

‘“Supported Decision-Making” is a model allowing older adults and people with disabilities to work with trusted friends, family members, and professionals to help them make significant decisions. The “supporters” provide assistance so those individuals may understand options and the potential consequences of their decisions. Supported Decision-Making is an alternative to guardianship, is flexible, and can change with the needs of the individual to provide more opportunities for independence.’
